Once you’ve chosen your wall, you need to settle
on a colour. Dulux offers eight ready mixed colours in our
Feature Wall range, any of which will add interest to a room,
and can advise on which will go with the rest of your room.
Alternatively you can have a colour mixed in store –
perhaps to match a favourite furnishing.
It might seem daunting to paint one wall a strong colour
– with straight edges and not bleeding into other walls
– it’s easier than you think.
1. Buy paint brushes with an angled edge
2. Don’t load them with too much paint
3. Holding the brush like a pen, slowly work the paint up
to the required line.
4. If you do go over the edge, wait until the paint has dried,
and use the same technique to touch in the wall or ceiling
colour you have gone over.
5. Don’t use masking tape to define edges: paint can
seep underneath or a layer of paint can lift when you pull
the tape away.
